Thursday 15 October

Uberred into work today, then left early to pick up my car. Despite my misgivings, there it was ready and waiting, looking like new. It’s almost worth having a bingle every now and then to get your car so thoroughly cleaned and polished. Those blokes are modern day Leonardos, apart from the fact that they work a little slower.

Donna invited me to her place for dinner tonight to celebrate, which I appreciated. It was a bit disconcerting, though, because as the evening went on, she kept saying ‘Google’ and then giving a command, and miraculously the command would be followed. I wish Ian’s name was Google. If ever I have a kid, I’m going to call him or her Google. Google! Turn the music down. Google! Wash the dishes. Google! Make your bed. Google! Go to the bottle shop and buy me a bottle of wine (either a Shiraz or a Cab. Sav. will be fine).
