Agnes and I had a long walk together on the beach this morning. It’s hard to believe how much things have changed for her in the past six months. I wonder if things took a turn for the worst, she would ever get into that situation again. I wonder if I would. Anyway, I’m happy she’s in a better place. It just annoys me that she gets more attention than I do.
We watched a current affairs program on TV this afternoon. There was a wet T-shirt competition up north, everyone enjoying themselves, even the blokes. One of the panel members was going on about how demeaning it was for all women. But, just because she wouldn’t do that doesn’t mean those girls aren’t enjoying themselves. No one’s got a gun to their head. That misogynist woman is nothing like me or the wet T-shirted ones, and she’d have no idea how we think. Don’t presume to speak for me, oh same gender one, because I’m guessing that’s all we have in common. I like men looking at me. It doesn’t mean they don’t think I could solve the Schrodinger equation for the single-electron hydrogen atom. I mean, I’m sure I could if I wanted to. I wonder if she could.
