Remember when our state borders opened a few years ago after we’d isolated ourselves because of COVID? At the time, Mel kept going on about how she hadn’t seen her second cousin twice removed for more than two years. It was such an ongoing tragedy for her and the rest of us. Anyway, I asked her today if they’d caught up since or if either of them has plans to catch up, and she said no, probably not for a while.
