Sunday 26 July

I feel like I’m getting sadly out of step with the world, if my neighbours are anything to go by. I must ask one of them next time I see them where they’re all buying those small white fluffy dogs that bark for hours at nothing, and which wake up their neighbours but which their owners can’t hear, especially early on a Sunday morning. If I had one, Megan would be up here like a shot complaining about it. I think she’s already had words with SW next door about her seven dogs. The thing is, SW’s seven dogs don’t make any more noise than Megan’s one constantly barking excuse for a dog, although, to be fair, they can sustain it for longer. I think they organise a tag team.

Donna and I decided to give tennis a miss today. The weather prediction was for 20% chance of rain and, anyway, you seem to lose motivation when it isn’t on TV. But, it was a brave experiment. We went to the pub instead. Sat outside, as it turned out to be a beautiful day.
