I heard Stuart in the next office this morning having a robust discussion with someone on the other end of the telephone line. I have to say, Stuart doesn’t pull any punches, and he speaks to the women as plainly as he does to the men. Anyway, after he’d hung up, he came to my office, without knocking of course, and asked me if a woman calls a man a misogynist, does that mean she’s a misandrist? I told him I didn’t know what that word meant. He said he didn’t think I would, even though in his considered opinion there are a lot more misandrists in the world than there are misogynists. That’s another word my spell-checker hasn’t heard of. Mysterious. Looks like spell-checker doesn’t want us to use that word either. I’m starting to think that my spell-checker is a bit of a misandrist.
