Monday 5 October

Rode into work no worries this morning.

Agnes and I had another session with Susan today. It was a bit all over the place. I think she’s running out of things to tell us. Anyway, Susan’s main theme today was about not procrastinating. Agnes was all ears. I did have a day of deliberately not procrastinating at home once, but I ran out of things to do.

While Stuart was having a rest on my desk this afternoon I told him about Donna’s monthly saying. He said that he had a similar one — a bird in bed is worth two on a barstool. Sure, Stuart. As if. He wouldn’t have a clue what to do with them. I never know whether to laugh or be shocked by Stuart’s comments. My instinct is to laugh, but my societal training is to be shocked. Anyway, I laughed. The sisterhood can worry about itself. I have my own life to live, and I’m not as intimidated by them so much anymore. I think it’s sort of a compliment that Stuart feels he can say that sort of stuff to me. I wouldn’t want him to become boring and stop. Although I wouldn’t mind him getting off my desk.
